Our community-based activities provide resources and linkages to secure enhanced livelihoods, pasture and migratory route access, recognition of breeding skills and any other concerns or interests that arise from within the communities themselves. This includes:
Linking with industry, social sector and technical partners to market pastoral dairy and crafts products and develop innovative applications for pastoral produce.
Providing information on enabling legal provisions, such as Community Forest Rights under the FRA and provisions of the Biodiversity Act.
Paralegal and technical training for documentation protocols while mapping traditional grazing areas and migration routes to submit legal claims to access.
Linking with technical institutions for official recognition of pastoralists’ livestock breeding skills.
