The Salim Mama Course is a short-term certificate course designed to enhance the understanding of connections between ecosystems and pastoral communities among students. While the curriculum is designed for young practising pastoralists who wants to learn about their ecologies, it is also open to university students pursuing their degrees in environmental studies, botany, zoology and other sciences as well as students of social sciences and development studies. The course will provide an innate legitimacy to pastoralism and make local communities aware of their significance in today’s world.
